Elai Nelson and the Gate of Fire

The concluding book of the Fire on the Clouds series sees Elai finally return to the land of his birth and take his place as the King of Karelah. But the threat from the Zul'im remains, and Elai has to decide whether to push quickly to close the portal to the Zul'im homeworld, or stay to consolidate his rule and strength. Both paths bring great risk, and with the old ruling establishment resentful of Elai's arrival and coronation, danger lurks around every corner. Elai and his closest friends, including his talking sword, Creep, must find a way to save the realm once and for all, by ending the menace from the other side of the Rift.
