The alcalde of Andujar during the reign of Henry IV of Castile (1454-1474), Escavias was also a historian, a poet, and a counselor to the king. Based on unpublished documents, this volume discusses the various aspects of his life and demonstrates conclusively that he was the author of Hechos de Miguel Lucas de Iranzo. In addition, the volume presents the most important sections of his unpublished Repertorio de principes.
