This work reports the change in attitude of Mart n Pel ez, cousin of el Cid, who was forced by his father to go to war and later became a hero. Mart n, after saying goodbye to his girlfriend Sancha, is presented to el Cid. The text is part of the series of Tirso de Molina's pieces inspired by the history of Spain.
