Beskrivelse
This volume expands the field of research on the history of ideas and terminology relating to 'the imagination' around 1800 with new methodologies and interdisciplinary approaches. The studies show how concepts of 'the imagination' changed over the course of the 18th- and 19th centuries in German-speaking countries. It traces the ways in which these concepts shaped our thinking around the human mind and influenced public discourses well beyond the contemporary state-of-art in the sciences.
