Efficient oxygen (O2) electrocatalysts and electrolytes development is an area of active research in the field of energy storage. The development of efficient O2 catalysts and electrolytes is essential for the advancement of high-energy-density lithium (Li)-O2 batteries, which have the potential to revolutionize the energy storage industry.
One of the major challenges in the development of Li-O2 batteries is the sluggish kinetics of O2 reduction reaction (ORR) and O2 evolution reaction (OER) at the cathode and anode, respectively.
