The Chelsea School Research Centre Edition originated in the advanced scholarship and research undertaken in CSRC as it consolidated and developed its national and international research networks. It brings together state-of-the art scholarship and research in sport sociology, sport sciences, leisure studies and physical education. This volume presents topical and trenchant thinking on cultural and curricular issues in education, sport and leisure. It underlines the need for critical evaluation of the changing role of the teacher, of the development of a revised physical education curriculum etc.
