What do you do when an imaginary world takesover your life?
AnantVohra is an interior designer. A death in the family-his uncle's-sows in him alife-long dread of the inevitable demise of his loved ones. Entrapped by thisfear, he builds an imaginary world-a retreat-where death doesn't exist. A placeto escape whenever reality becomes overpowering.
Anantfeels a sense of relief in his escapes until things begin to change. Hediscovers a companion in the retreat-a voice that calls itself the 'Resident'.As the real and the unreal worlds coalesce, Anant struggles with his sanity andfears the possibility of being locked away in the retreat while the Residenttakes over. The unreal world begins to influence Anant's reality as the retreatfloating in the abyss reveals a new order-one made by the increasinglytyrannical subconscious.
Echoof the Abyss presents a vivid portrayal of the primal fear of death andmortality, and how it shapes people in different ways. Aarti, Rajat and theVohras are all trying to deal with the same truth-death. Despite theirdifferences, they are on the same journey-a quest to negate death through life, work, immortality, art, lineage or an imagined world. But is that all?
Is the human condition condemned to await theinevitable, or is there more?
