This title explores the growth and spread of Muslim people from the early 600s to the decline of the Ottoman Empire in the late 17th century. Early Islamic empires spread from the Middle East to the far corners of Asia and into Europe, reaching their height under Suleiman the Magnificent (1520-66) when it expanded to cover the Balkans and reached to the gates of Vienna.
