The book is an in-depth study of sociological dimensions of the concept of power and its correlation with the political culture. It brings out the operational effects of the approaches of power politics in different political cultures. This theoretical study aptly correlates the diverse political culture of Pakistan where all four provinces have their distinct political culture. The case of southern Punjab is smartly handled by creating a contrast between the developmental condition of the south and the rest of the Punjab province. While bringing out the main causes of political, social and economic dilapidation of the region, the author makes a study of major stakeholders of the region and their role in resolving and manipulating the issue for petty political gains. It is an honest, apt and courageous attempt on the true conditions of the region. Finally, the author gives some well-researched findings and some neutral and workable solutions for the overall betterment of the region. It is appropriate to conclude that this book is the chronological study of the people, power, and politics of the southern Punjab region.
