Beskrivelse

The book Political Psychology is a branch of political science and psychology. Political psychology may be considered as a scientific endeavour to understand mental functioning of the public, political leaders and the polity. As such it provides understanding of the personality structure of modern man initiating his way of life. Apparently, the individual is always at stake in the realm of political thinking, since every event national, or international or even regional is likely to influence his thinking and behaviour. Political psychology, like other branches of psychology, such as rural psychology, industrial psychology, clinical psychology is a specific branch of psychology in understanding mental life of man as a political mana man in relation to the government and the people etc. The arena that political psychology encapsules, covers primarily two branches of social sciences, psychology and political science, the interdisciplinary contents of which provide basis to the findings of political psychology. These two behavioural sciences try to understand the behaviour of human beings politically and psychologically.
