His son chose death. Cris has lost his soul, his lover, and now his only son-and yet there are things Hell still wants to take from him. Alone on the banks of the Erebus, Cris must learn what it means to be the father of a monster. Again a slave to Hell, he must decide which parts of himself to compromise and which friends to betray-but he's still too stupid to give up hope.
