With the events of the world war coming to an end, the struggling people of the Astral Empire continue to live in fear as they try to appease their new leader. However, there is one man that is not yet at peace with the aftermath of the war. Lawrence Orell, the surviving son of the late great General Orell, seeks the death of his father's murderer, Emperor Alyx. Though an accomplished warrior, he does not have the skill or power to do this alone, as Alyx has proven to be a capable foe, killing the previous emperor and assuming the throne. Fed up with his adversary's reign, Lawrence embarks on a dangerous journey seeking allies to aid in his quest. With a war-torn empire infested with criminals and monsters, Lawrence steels himself, determined to assassinate the emperor, and restore honor to his family name.
