Beskrivelse

Dreams for the Divine and Drowning is a collection of poetry that spans the emotional waters of love, lust, heartbreak, strength, and finding your way to forgiveness. The collection contains mostly free-form poetry, micro poems, and musings inspired by immeasurable heartbreak, and the will to forgive. The poetry in this book tells a story about what happens when you find yourself drowning in heartache. What dreams will your mind take you to? What chances did you regret not taking? Can you find the strength to swim? Can you grow gills and change into the person you were always meant to be? Can you forgive the love that held you below the surface? K.D. Hagen's poetry is depth in simplicity, combining a musical tone with beautifully complete use of metaphor that any lover of poetry is sure to enjoy. Excerpt from the final poem in Dreams for the Divine and Drowning: "Both placid still and violently awake /You skip a stone and watch as I ripple /Your hands move right through me/ But I, am a mover of land/ I demolish stone/ I pour down and dance/ Across your windshield begging to be seen/ You drink me up / And I pool at your feet/ And in your skin/ For you are made of me." -Complete work found in Dreams for the Deep and Drowning.
