Sorcerers called the Barasha seek to steal the magical crown of the monarchy of Carandir to release the evil dragon Baras as traitorous nobles secretly plot civil war.



Unaware of these dangers, Prince Ryckair and his twin brother Prince Craya vie for succession to the throne and the love of the Lady Mirjel who is bound by law to marry the brother who becomes king.



Yet, Mirjel, strong willed and trained for battle, has chosen the one she loves and will have no other.



Before any coronation or wedding can take place, the sorcerers and rebelling nobles join forces to seize control of Carandir.



Mirjel forms a resistance movement to fight them.



One brother is cast into the wilderness and seeks a magical talisman to confront the sorcerers and prevent the dragon from rising.



The other is seduced by the sorcerers with the promise of power and the possession of Mirjel.



A host of characters play major roles.



Reshna, Lord High Priest of the Barasha sorcerers, uses terror and his power to call demons in a bid to release Baras who would spread a reign of horror in vengeance for his imprisonment.



Baron Dek, father of Mirjel and the most influential noble of house established two generations before, seeks to bolster the monarchy and prevent civil war.



Baroness Jea, Mirjel's mother, faces grave danger to solicit help from allies.



Baron Etera, leader of the treasonous nobles of old houses established at the founding of Carandir, prepares open insurrection to form a tyranny where women's rights are revoked, all minorities expelled and the new noble houses destroyed.



Princess Shara, daughter of a northern king, will stop at nothing, even seduction and murder, to gain her father's throne.



Batu, a smuggler with brown skin who was born in the eastern deserts, becomes a reluctant hero who strives to save the monarchy.



Jarat, a seemingly a 30 year old black woman, is actually the last surviving wizard who has waited thousands of years in preparation for the return of the Barasha.



Dragons Unremembered is set in an immersive world of magic, wizards, sorcerers, dragons, fantastic beasts, battles, forgotten legends, lost worlds, diverse cultures and music. The story is peopled with characters of different genders, identities, orientations, colors and ethnicities, all of whom live and work together as equals.
