Secret wounds create fragmented souls from every family iniquity, life struggles, and from this evil world. It breaks everyone; no matter how strong they may believe they are. But glory to God, some of us became stronger from the painful, shameful, and broken places. Over my tenure of counseling and therapy, I have witnessed that when people make an intentional choice to ask for God's help and then do something about it, this is how God begins to not only just loosen the chain, but they begin to break, and the person can begin to see the light of hope at the end of their painful tunnel. It takes strong intentionality, desire, and faith to want and expect God to set them free.
