Beskrivelse
Examines worship and preaching from a number of theological perspectives; Catholic, Baptist, Anglican, Uniting Church and Greek Orthodox. It draws on the tradition of each of these denominations to examine the diversity of the liturgical worship and preaching in each tradition as each church addresses the needs and concerns of a complex world of technology and diversity. Each tradition tried in its own ways to address the concerns of the day but within its own theological perspective and traditions that have developed over time. Includes two key papers by Timothy Radcliffe OP, former Master General of the Dominican Order, an Englishman, writer, popular theologian and Catholic Priest. Vivian Boland OP, the editor, is an Irish Dominican Priest and thologian who teaches theology at Blackfriars, Oxford and St Mary's College in London.
