When Mike Ditka arrived in 1982, he had a big job turning the Chicago Bears into a competitive football team. In volume one, we saw his struggles those first two years.
But nothing worth having comes easily, and the Bears were soon to be rewarded for their work. In 1984, they knocked on the door of a championship.
In 1985, they blew apart that door with dynamite.
The 1985 Bears are arguably the most unique team in NFL history. There had never been a team like them and there never will be a team like them. That's why they hold so much mystique - not just their greatness, but their uniqueness. They are timeless and appeal to everyone in some form.
In volume two of the Ditka Era, we look at the craziness and craftiness of those 1985 Bears and relive one of the greatest moments in not just Chicago but NFL history.
