New technologies constitute a fundamental tool to advance the improvement of educational processes. So much so that information and communication technologies (ICT) have gained ground and, currently, have an increasing influence on the way of communicating, learning, and life. More and more institutions, schools, and educational entities are seeking to strengthen the relationship between traditional education and new information technologies.
In addition to the above, higher education, in the contemporary world, has to respond to the demands demanded by society, the accelerated development of technological revolutions, and sustainability. In the first case, being a participant in the solutions to solve economic, social, and cultural problems by transforming academic practices and their professional training processes; In the second case, the permanent and accelerated change in scientific innovation requires it to incorporate hard and soft technologies into its teaching-learning practices, and, at the same time, generate new technologies in the different fields of knowledge it cultivates.
