Beth Beckett is a schoolteacher with a wanderlust her paycheck can't support and a desire to put a little more space between herself and her mother. Her independent and uncompromising ways have pushed her to become self-sufficient. One thing Beth has resolved; she won't marry anyone who doesn't see her as an equal. Definitely not the rude man who just blocked her school's carpool line and treated her like a valet.



Darcy Williams' life made him all too serious when it handed him a great deal of responsibility at a young age. His faith In God carried him through some challenging years, and he wants to share his blessings with as many people as possible. Circumstances are about to change again. It's been far too long since Darcy has thought what he wants out of life. Now that he's met the spirited Beth Beckett, he's starting to consider what possibilities lay before him.
