Beskrivelse
This is a new translation of the Aparokshanubhuti a text regarding the requirements and instructions for those who seek self-realisation. The original written in Sanskrit is said to have been composed by Shankara a brilliant sage of the early 8th century in India. In a short life Shankara wrote commentaries on all the major Upanishads, and other important texts of Advaita Vedanta (the predominant Indian philosophy of today). The distinguished scholar and philosopher refuted wrong ideas, clarified the principles and set up a system of schools to cherish and preserve the tradition. This treatise gives clear instruction for the seeker and is useful for students of sanskrit. Sufficient alternative word meanings are given so that alternative verse meanings may be explored, considered, contemplated or meditated on.
