Die Filme Fatih Akins

Fatih Akīn is one of the most important directors of contemporary German cinema. His films have won international awards and enjoy the favor not only of critics but also of audiences. Film scholars have also turned their attention to Akīn's work in the last twenty years, but there has been no systematic scholarly coverage of his uvre to date. This anthology remedies this by presenting Fatih Akīn's work in its entirety for the first time. The aim is to give new impulses to the discussion of film studies, to facilitate the teaching of Akīn's work in universities and schools, and to offer an introduction to the director's work.
