In Devoured By Pain, Salvo revisits the most intimate poems in their second book Devoured in a new volume that explores the pain of life at love's end. This collection features over 100 pages of dark poetry and haunting illustrations reminiscent of work by Junji Ito, Poe, Neil Gaiman and the author's popular book The Teeth Of The World Are Sharp.

A.X. Salvo's writings and art have appeared in USA Today, MISC, Studio Visit Magazine, Bete Noir, The Adroit Journal, and The Anthologist. Salvo is also the recipient of a Vermont Studio Center grant for Poetry.
