Beskrivelse
A beautiful illustrated collection of prayers, novenas, chaplet, hymns, poems and brief sketch of Saint Teresa's life and thought. Teresa de Ahumada, 16th century Spanish saint, Carmelite nun, preeminent mystical theologian, proclaimed a doctor of the Catholic Church in 1970 by Pope Paul VI, is the first woman honored with this distinction. Through Divine guidance, she led the reform of the Carmelite order back to the primitive observance, founding 17 convents for nuns and 15 for friars. She is arguably the greatest teacher of contemplative prayer, living an extraordinary life of union with Our Lord, who told her, on more than one occasion that as His divine spouse, there is nothing she might ask of Him that she would not receive. In her lifetime and after, countless miracles are attributed to her intercession. In Heaven, she continues her work of saving souls.
