Detour

When we get in the car, we have a destination in mind. We are determined to get where we need to go and at times, we are determined to get there pronto. After we get in the car, we put on our seatbelts and set the GPS to our destination. The GPS will take us through red lights, stop signs and it will even inform us when there is horrible traffic ahead. When we come to a crossroad, the GPS informs us to either go straight, turn left, or turn right. It's up to us to make the decision because surely the GPS cannot direct the car. This is a story of a young man who decided not to listen to the GPS of his own reason and took the wrong turn. Instead of choosing redemption, success, and perseverance, he chose restricted time, isolation, and defeat. This uplifting true story will teach us how to push and persevere through hard times.
