Beskrivelse
The built environment is currently one of the largest generators of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) in the world, causing climate change. These gases are closely related to the energy consumption generated inside buildings to provide thermal comfort to their occupants. When buildings are constructed in climates with extreme temperatures, comfort becomes difficult to achieve because there is a lot of heat transfer between the interior and exterior of the buildings, which takes place through the building envelope. This temperature transfer does not occur equally through all the elements of the envelope, but there are certain areas, which, due to their physical characteristics, are more prone to transmit heat. These zones are called thermal bridges. This book shows the result of a work whose objective was to identify by means of thermographic images the main thermal bridges in a building, before and after an intervention, in order to determine if the modifications had a positive impact on their appearance.
