Detached Attachment

From the time immemorial, man has always been in pursuit of happiness but it is the happiness which is elusive of him. So, his quest for the same never seems to be ending. However, philosophers of the yore define life as an inevitable, one-way journey from birth towards death and being detached, they quote, makes this "journey of life" pleasurable. That means, detachment gives us bliss.We have been experiencing this in life, as we only enjoy our trips when we travel light. Nevertheless to get the feeling of detachment in life, we should observe life itself seriously. When we do that, we can see three eternal truths Temporariness of everything in life - Nothing is permanent. Non-doership of anything in life - No one does anything, except an Infinite power. Everything is fore-ordained in life - Everything is predestined.
