Beskrivelse
For as long as anyone can remember, the hillfolk have lived up in the Wolfram hills, breeding their mythical Hill Charger horses and living entirely nomadic lives. Persephone's skills as a hillsinger continue to grow, but the mountainsires, and the fae in general, need her to be more, but she doesn't understand what that means or how to become the person they need. She's going to have to figure it out quickly.Rock faces the politics of the hillfolk amidst a generational transition of the mountainborn stallions, the core of the Hill Charger breeding lines. Men are willing to go to great lengths, perhaps even willing to kill to be part of the story that he has lived his whole life, and he can't stand by and watch passively as injustice goes unaddressed and men go unpunished for their overreach to gain control of the Hill Charger bloodlines.
Edwin comes of age, this summer, and his whole life is yet to be decided. He wants to be a hillfather, and a husband and father, maybe, but something keeps calling him up into the mountains, an ability to do things that no one else seems able to. He's going to have to figure out how to match his potential to his vision for the future, once he figures out what his vision for the future even is.
The Clan of Three Staffs has come through a lot, but they've thrived all the same. The clan grows, and the future sparkles with potential, but nothing is ever easy on the Wolfram Hills, and whatever future they want, they must keep fighting for it. Welcome back, one more time, to the land of the Hill Chargers. Destiny of a Wild Colt is a part of the greater Verida universe, and is recommended in sequence between Path of the Hillsinger, book 3 of the Hill Chargers series, and The Queen's Shadow, book 5 of the Queen's Chair series. However, if you started with the Hill Chargers series Chloe recommends that you read The Queen's Chair, book 1 of the Queen's Chair series next.
