Destino: From Italy to Kansas City

I'm from the Red, White and Blue and Brown and Black neighborhood. This is the true story of my parent's immigration from Sicily, Italy to Kansas City and our family's blessings, trials and struggle against poverty and prejudice. It is a story of loneliness and deprivation guided by courage and an unfailing faith in God. I've include over 100 family and historic photos to document our journey. I want future generations to know the obstacles their ancestors overcame. The same blood that crossed Europe and the Atlantic Ocean to build a new life in America runs in their veins. The same strength to conquer the insurmountable. The same faith in a loving God. The same hope for a bright and better future. To immigrant families I say, "So will you."
