In practice, consumers often enter closed-end funds in situations that fall under the rules on doorstep selling. When it leads to financial losses, the consumers commonly try to terminate their so entered participation by declaring to withdraw from it according to these rules. This case configuration concerns the law of obligations, consumer law, corporate law and capital markets law as well as German and European law. The manifold legal issues thus raised have not been studied cohesively until now. This book analyses the issues in question extensively and develops a comprehensive, dogmatically founded solution to this entire legal complex. Always starting out from the the aforesaid case configuartion, the core theme of this book is the exploration of the provisions set out by the European law for the scope and legal consequences of the German regulations on doorstep selling.
