Denial of Conflict

Hyun-ae Bae and Lieutenant Mike Reed are the target of a cruel maniacal North Korean spy. North Korea continues to incite dissent in the south using agents and commando units. They infiltrate South Korea using the DMZ. Lieutenant Reed's unit's mission is to stop the infiltrations.

The Office of Internal Security investigates Bae because of suspicions of her collaboration with the spy, Chung. Reed and Bae fall in love, further complicating the investigation by the OIS. Reed must weigh the possibility. Is Bae the enemy?

North Korean guerrillas kidnapped Bae's mother fifteen years earlier. Bae never gave up hope her mother was still alive. Chung gives her a choice, testing her love for Lieutenant Reed, her aunt who raised her and her country.

Hyun-ae Bae and Lieutenant Reed find themselves trapped in a gripping and terrifying ordeal.. Tensions between North and South Korea increase and continue today. The novel is fictional, but based on actual events that occurred 1967-1968.
