Beskrivelse
What is the difference between justice and vengeance? How do we determine what is good and what is evil? Does love truly conquer all? Are humans fundamentally warlike or can we achieve a lasting peace? Does society serve us or do we serve society? Demon of the Sword is a novel that chronicles the adventures of Griffin Kane and Adrasteia (Adra) Rose, two people who believe human unity can be a reality but have radically different approaches of achieving it. While Griffin is a peace-loving former Catholic priest turned Berkeley philosophy professor, Adra is an ultra-violent Demon of the Sword - a nine-hundred year old order of killers who have changed the world by executing the most malevolent people throughout history. Griffin is an avid believer in justice, forgiveness, peaceful reform and mercy, while Adra is a merciless proponent of vengeance and cruelty to those who have done great evil. Their exploits force them to explore the depths of human nature and their search for answers sets the stage for a fantastic but bloody conflict between good and evil that will change humanity forever.
