Jesse Crater, fresh from the Police Academy and devastated after the carjacking murder of his beloved parents, escapes the big city for a small, rural town in the Sierra Nevada Mountain's. But life in a small town doesn't mean less crime or a shortage of sinister people. On the contrary, as the body count escalates, Deputy Crater quickly finds himself embroiled in a border-to-border human trafficking organization so buried underground and protected by multiple branches of law enforcement he's forced to depend on the help of an Indian Chief and an enthusiastic K-9 to bring down the complicated and layered crime syndicate as time is running out for those he loves.
