While seeking God about a circumstance in her life, with no warning, God addressed another issue in her life. Her past. God showed Barbara a visual picture analogy of her past being like a basement. A basement is where a homeowner places things they don't need or have room for in their house, but over time, if not dealt with, a basement can become a place of cluttered defeat. If Barbara wanted a life of victory, God needed to help her clean out the clutter she had accumulated in her spiritual basement.
