Dear Someone,

You don't know me, and you probably think this strange. Regardless of your opinions, the outcome will be the same. Be aware and watch for the things that go bump. These violent delights have violent ends.

 

Lillian Newburg isn't concerned when she finds a gold card with the note stuck under her car windshield. Concerned, no. Curious, yes. Who would write such a note? Is someone from her office playing a joke? She stuffs the note in her pocket and forgets about it.

But this note is no joke. A mysterious stranger has told Lillian that she is in mortal danger. If she continues to ignore the message, what happens next won't be the stranger's problem.
