Dear Mary

The story is essentially a thank you letter from a formerrefugee child, for an aid package that was sent fromAmerica in the aftermath of the Second World War. Though the letter is addressed to Mary, it is alsoaddressed to all those who belong to the generationof Mary. The story exudes messages of human love,kindness, compassion and the power of goodness. Miriam Steiner-Aviezer is a Holocaust child survivor, and the author of TheSoldier with the Golden Buttons, a book published by Yad Vashem, which features achild's perspective of the Holocaust.
