Deadly Vision

The sleepy little college town had all but forgotten the girl who disappeared twenty years ago. People had passed on or moved on, and the only reminder were the annual news stories of the girl who had never been found.

Her family hadn't forgotten. Especially her brother who was now more determined than ever to give his mother some final peace of mind before the cancer took her completely. She had been his older sibling by ten minutes and he felt as if a piece of him had been missing for twenty years.

The young man who sat next to her in the chemistry lab hadn't forgotten. They had been studying with a group that night at an off-campus apartment. He offered to walk her back to her dorm. She had politely declined. He was now the county sheriff and had to look at the missing persons photo every day when he walked into the office.A reclusive medium hadn't forgotten.
