As part of the FBI's Children's Victims Unit, Chase thought she'd seen it all. That is, until a truck loaded with the bodies of children is discovered abandoned on a mountain pass in the middle of nowhere.
It's a sight no one can unsee, and the more they look, the worse things get-signs point to the chilling use of a biological weapon.
And the person or group responsible for this macabre scene is only only getting started.
Now, Chase is plunged into a race against evil, unearthing shadows and following trails that might not just lead to more dead children, but a sinister plot that has far greater implications for all of the United States.
To her horror, Chase soon realizes that the master plot that she's uncovered places the lives of every man, woman, and child who lives there in jeopardy.
