Two lost souls, two fates entwined...



As crown princess, seventeen year-old Caro knew she would be queen one day, but when her parents are assassinated, that role is suddenly thrust upon her. Unprepared, she struggles to adjust to her new responsibilities, but a plot is brewing in the shadows and a usurper stages a violent coup.



Betrayed by those closest and forced to flee for her life, she attempts to recruit an army to retake her throne, but loyalty is a rare commodity in such uncertain times. In the least likely of places she finds an ally - an enemy commander who wears a silver mask and whose motives are shrouded in mystery.
