Danny a high school football star was not told of a scholarship he was awarded so he enlisted in the service and was sent to Iraq where he lost his arms. He battled with a cold aloof Father and an overly needy alcoholic Mother, but managed to find a normal life despite the gross incompetence of the VA and the military for which he served. He meets an Amish girl who is not affected by his disability and marries her as he takes the reigns of his high school team as Coach
