A fictional account of modern-day slavery in the Middle East. After just seven years in Dahra, Sir Jonathan Martin felt thathis life and future were settled, having found unparalleled financial success and happiness in the beautiful Sheikdomon the Arabian Peninsula. His work and good fortune as a banker allowed him to have a lifestyle as a man of property anda surprising career as a farmer and the owner of certain 'properties'. However, his Palaces and farmlands have some surprising differences to the rest of the world outside Dahra's borders,in matter which dare not speak their name. All is fine and then the Fates decide to intervene. Many of the matters in this narrative are metaphors for modern life. The discerning reader will know how to spot them.
