Beskrivelse

In Steve Burch's epic supernatural-sci-fi-fantasy, a conflict boils over at the Vatican, where the ranks of evil have learned to blend in with the good. Destruction, devastation, and disorder overwhelm the earth, and it looks like the beginning of the final Apocalypse. An unlikely team-a senior monsignor, priest, Church mother, and outcast Nephilim prince-must work together to save the world before the winter solstice. Is it the End Times that was predicted by the Li Chunfeng Prophecies? It is December 2025. The world is struggling to rebuild after a cataclysmic World War III. Crime and chaos rule. Food and water shortages compete with natural disasters to plague the earth. Only the Vatican City, governmentally stable after its minimal participation in the war, seems like a haven in this madness. But while lying on his deathbed, the saintly Pope John Paul III senses even this could change. Evil forces are increasingly infiltrating the human population. Among the worst is Lebhudha, a Nephilim princess and current Asian crime leader. Furious to see the Catholic Church revive in China, she is hell bent on preventing this. Through her scheming, a deranged cardinal and insane monk haunt the Vatican's streets at night, killing innocent victims. Yet these threats seem minor, when word spreads that one hundred and forty meteoroids are hurtling toward the earth and will strike on the solstice. No technology can deflect them. In the midst of this latest terror, a mysterious blood-sucking blackthorn tree suddenly sprouts from the steps of Saint Peter's Basilica. Is this a heaven-sent sign of hope? Inspired, four unlikely heroes set out in search of sacred lost artifacts that might have the power to save the world before 21 December 2025. During their quest, the Nephilim prince gives tantalizing glimpses of his past to the aging monsignor. Through clairvoyance, the old priest sees what really happened in Eden; the days immediately following the Great Flood; Sodom and Gomorrah; and witnessed Jeshua's apprenticeship, before he became master and Savior. This book was inspired by Eug ne Sue's classical 19th century epic fantasy novel, The Wandering Jew.
