Crossroads

Carson, who is a combat veteran and has recently lost his wife, is transitioning back to the United States. He has made it a habit to frequent a local coffee shop that affords him the kind of anonymity and quiet he is looking for in order to sort out his thoughts about his next move when he meets Sophie, a barista. Through a combination of friendly banter, personal curiosity, and physical chemistry, Carson and Sophie form an unbreakable friendship that has mysteriously overlooked "spiritual compatability." As their bond strenghtens, both are thrown for a loop in the form of an unexpected tragedy.
