Creeping Charlies

Collette dreams of leaving her small town. For years, a slow-burning accident at a nearby pesticide factory has been leaving the residents under the threat of falling victim to a mysterious poison in the air, and the only way to leave unscathed is to earn enough money to move away. The poison makes people different, rotting them away physically as they become increasingly violent and unpredictable, obsessive about killing animals and destroying any sentimental ephemera around them. Luckily for Collette, her mother and father almost have all the money they need saved up to flee to Ontario, but they may need to make some sacrifices along the way.
