Beskrivelse
The future development of artificial intelligences is dependent on a clearer understanding of all aspects of animal and manufactured cognition. This book puts forward a variety of views, all based on research in the field, on what exactly is meant by intelligence, what part is played by knowledge, and ways in which it is quantified, and it looks at elements of human intelligence that in certain ways is beyond the intelligence of models. An important part of this work is also concerned with intelligent machines, such as computers and robots, looking at problems of design and at their potential impact on industry and everyday life.
