It was almost midday by the time they finally arrived at his cabin in Lakewood, which, as it turned out, was not actually a cabin at all. It was a massive two-storey residence that spanned the length of the secluded cove along which it was built, and it sat but a stone's throw away from the water's edge.

It was by no means the quaint cottage she had pictured, and Jessica chuckled to herself as he led her inside, noting that his 'cabin' was at least four times the size of her actual house.

Christian Hunt was unlike any man she had ever met. He did everything on a much grander scale and lived life with more relish than anyone she knew. And he excited her more than anyone else. He was a drug, and she was addicted.

She knew that they were taking a chance, but it was a risk that she was willing to take for love. She also knew that luck had been on their side thus far, since the gossip rags had yet to discover that he had been sleeping over at her tiny house for the past week. But she could no longer deny her feelings for him.
