With the increased concern about children's math skills as well as the number of unusual formats and creative media, counting books have taken on a renewed role in the world of children's literature. In the past decade, these books have moved beyond the simple presentation of numbers into the world of complex mathematical concepts designed to help children become comfortable with numbers.
