Beskrivelse
This book was first published in 1915 by the American Museum of Natural History as part of a series of anthropological papers reflecting the results of various research endeavors conducted by the museum's Department of Anthropology. Costumes is a comparative study which addresses the forms and distribution of Plains Indian men's shirts, coats, and women's dresses. This reprinting endeavors to reintroduce this piece of basic research back into the contemporary literature for the benefit of researchers, crafters, and hobbyists. The original small black and white photographs of specimens have been replaced with large, full color images and actual color photos of the specimens themselves.
