Man may make a box and put his shoes in it, but he cannot make a box to put his footsteps in. He may make a box of a length, width, and height, but he cannot put length, width, and height into it. He may make a myriad of numbers, but he cannot place even a solitary number into that box The box is real, the others are merely notional. They exist only in our imaginations. We dream up numbers and dimensions. We dream up time. We dream up all sorts of things. Love, hate, fear, bravery, beauty, ugliness; all are artifacts of the human mind. They do not exist in nature, but we contrive to believe that they do and this blurring of the distinction between the real and the notional have come to plague us by their numerous inconsistencies.
