Beskrivelse
The central theme of this work is a comparison between access to scientific production, in the most varied areas of knowledge, by women in Brazil. The aim was to address the following questions: Has Brazilian scientific production in recent years had equal participation by men and women? Does access to education in Brazil generally cover everyone? Is there any aspect of copyright legislation that can provide equity without restricting gender and social class? What measures has Brazil adopted to make the creation of knowledge equal between men and women? The methods chosen here are the compilation of references on the subject, analysis of statistical data contained in public databases, as well as a case study carried out at the 1st Municipal Seminar on Female Empowerment in the city of Sorocaba. It covers the historical panorama from the conceptualization of the feminist movement in the world, through the national trajectory of this struggle. It analyzes the creation of the Secretariat for Women's Policies. It looks at funds and financing for scientific development in Brazil, especially based on data relating to female researchers.
