At midnight before the Day of the Dead, George, Master Printer and Engraver, must meet Xanthe in the old jam n bar in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Xanthe, the jealous one, brings the Code that will allow George to print trillions and trillions of Prostates. Xanthe has hidden the 38 special under the manicured paws of Paris, her toy Maltese.. She has to give George one more chance. What has happened to lead them here? Where has she come from? in La Isleta, the oldest part of town, ghosts of sailors and pirates haunt the streets. Xanthe and George are haunted too. Along the the Promenade of Las Canteras they must go, past mermaids made of sand, through the cemetery, to the bar with the green doors. Will Xanthe exorcise the demons that George has aroused? Will George be able to get the Codes he needs? The Procession jangles past in full blast. Shots ring out, or is it fireworks? Will Bad Money chase out the Good?
